The 2009 Beta Sigma Phi International Cruise began with high expectations and long flights.
We all pretty much met at JFK and flew in to Paris then to Barcelona. This began our
12 day Odyssey. We began our cruise on the first of October. We enjoyed perfect weather for
11 fabulous days touring all the wonderful Ports of Call. My favorite was SANTORINI. What was your favorite? Alas, there would be a nasty little storm that came up on the Adriatic Sea that tossed the ship around like a Mexican jumping bean.
The seven hour delay arriving in port created havoc for us, Royal Caribbean, the busses, guides, and those waiting to board the ship for their cruise. Everybody was inconvenienced. But guess what, we
all arrived back in the states on the same day originally scheduled. That was a remarkable feat! I hope you all enjoyed the Odyssey as much as I enjoyed meeting all of you. Thanks again and I hope to post some additional photos soon. A special thanks to Tina and Jim Hobbs who were so helpful to all of us!
And for Fred, he is still on special medication trying to clear his lungs. It is a slow battle and takes constant attention. Thanks for all your concerns. And, we hope to see you on another wonderful adventure soon.
