Virginia, Tina, Jim and Beverly - we're all related and I am getting my mojo back after a couple of hard years. Once you lose your parents and your significant other, life changes for you in so many ways. Some things stay the same - I'm still dancing away, but adjusting to not having those loved ones in your life is a challenge.
However, we're excited about the future. Tina and Jim are always my backup when escorting groups. They moved next door to me, so that makes it so convenient as I go in to my 'golden years' living alone. Tina always stands in for me and maintains the business when I'm away.
Beverly, my lovely sister, is a wonderful wedding planner and travel agent. A wedding in the future? Let Beverly assist you. She does affordable weddings in Houston and she also offers destination weddings. She has forty years of wedding experiences. She is the 'Martha Stewart' in my family.
My travel history - My first trip to Europe was in 1968 to Communist Hungary. WOW, did I get an education on the difference between our way of life and that of a communist country! Mostly domestic travel in those 'growing up w/family years. Then, I met Fred on the dance floor of the Swiss Chalet in Houston, Texas in June, 1998. We soon began traveling as Fred was a traveling man. He delighted in showing me Hong Kong, Paris, London, and all the places where he was known and respected. He gave me the passion for traveling as well. What a wonderful world to explore. And what a great opportunity for me to transition as a travel specialist. As a meeting planner and event coordinator, my expertise in organizing was well known in my world. Transitioning from association management and event planning on land to a group specialist at travel was natural. Fred was an inspiration to many and a wonderful mentor. Frederick Samuel Grossberg passed away on January 5, 2013. He was a man of honor; a lover of beautiful things; a world traveler and a fascinating man that I loved without measure.
A constant in my life has been Beta Sigma Phi, a world-wide women's friendship organization. As a life member, I've been blessed to have 'sisters' all over the world. Life, Learning and Friendship is the motto of Beta Sigma Phi. I've learned, I've grown and my life is enriched because of Beta Sigma Phi. I've been honored to be able to host several International Cruises and Tours and I've assisted in several state and area "At Sea" conventions
Since 2003 I've hosted dozen's of groups around the world. As a one woman operation, I appreciate each and every one of my customers.
Life is a JOURNEY, it is not a destination. Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So, throw off the bowlines; sail away from the safe harbor and catch the trade winds in your sails.
DREAM EXPLORE DISCOVER
Travel dreams do come true and you'll never go younger!
I don't like to lose history so here's how I got in the biz. I met Fred Grossberg, and Fred & Ginger became an item! Fred and his late wife, Esther Grossberg had one of the most successful travel agencies in the City of Houston. Most anybody who has been to China in the 70's and 80's did so with Esther Grossberg Travel. It was Fred's love of traveling that encouraged Esther to get in the travel industry. The agency became so successful that Fred gave up his successful maritime law practice to join Esther in 1977. EGT grew to be one of the 6th largest privately owned agencies in Houston. EGT was the first agency in an eight state area that was a member of GIANTS (now Virtuoso). In 1989 Fred sold the agency to VIP SuperTravel after the death of his much loved wife of 45 years. He continued working for SuperTravel and Navigant on a part time basis for several years until 1999 when he retired.
